EXPRESSION OF INTEREST: Artists and Curators
WAYOUT Art Gallery (also known as WAYOUT Artspace), located in Kandos, Central West NSW, is now accepting EOI proposals for our July 2026–November 2027 exhibition program.
We offer an opportunity to join the stellar line up of artists and curators to exhibit in our regional gallery; the home of Cementa Festival (happening 17-20 September 2026).
WAYOUT is a non-commercial artist-run initiative and a chance to show work that is not necessarily commercially driven, although of course you also have the option to have your work for sale.
We’re seeking imaginative, experimental, and diverse proposals from regional, urban, First Nations, interstate artists and curators who wish to grow their practice through a professional, place-based exhibition experience.
Artists and curators are invited to submit proposals for eight week exhibitions in our 2026/2027 exhibition schedule. WAYOUT offers over 30 metres of wall space and a large open gallery for the exhibition of your work.
Please prepare the following documents for uploading as part of your application:
1. Proposal (One Page) include:
- A brief statement/outline of your practice (as an artist or curator)
- Theme/s and or ideas for your proposed exhibition
- How many artists and names of artist/s (if known)
- Title of the exhibition (if known)
- Why you want to exhibit at WAYOUT in Kandos
2. Artist CV of your practice and/or the other artists in the group (1 page per artist)
3. Supporting Images - in one document - Up to 5 images/examples of your work, or links to videos, sound work, instagram handles, websites.
If your application is successful:
Our committee will support you through the planning and installation of your work.
The cost for the eight (8) week exhibition period at WAYOUT is $550. This expenditure covers opening event costs, venue running costs including promotion, publicity, and exhibition support.
